Situated in the centre of town, Hartlepool College of Further Education serves the post 16education and training needs of Hartlepool andthe community. Working in conjunc tio n with arange of partners, the College aims to achieve this ambition with the intention of helping to support and enhance the economic and social development of the community as a whole . In doing so the College aims to help each individual to achieve their personal ambition. The College currently has approximately 8,000 learners following full and part-time courses, studying for academic, vocational and workbase learning qualifications. It is located at the heart of the town, close by to all major transport links and central fac ilities and with easy public access to our external annexes. The college ’s employer engagement work has been graded as “outstanding” by Ofsted with the Eng neering department being one of the first providers to be awarded the new Training Quality Standard. The college is now moving into a new era with state of the art facilities in a world class building. The curriculum for Engineering includes Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic, Process, Fabrication and Welding and Automotive as well as more recently moving into the Nuclear and Renewable Energy sectors.
