Construction Learning World (SW)
The Learning World (LW) group incorporates Construction Learning World, Logistics Learning World and Health & Social Care Learning World, as well as Learning World Academies. This group and other related companies, such as Zenos Ltd and Logic4Training, formerly owned by Melorio plc, were acquired by Pearson plc on the 17th June 2010 - the world’s leading education business. Formation of Pearson – Melorio means that LW is now able to offer its nationwide customer base a large number of apprenticeship programmes in Construction, Business Administration, Health & Social Care, Logistics and ICT.
Learning World offers a full and growing spectrum of vocational training products and services, most notably in the following areas:
- Apprenticeships - Learning World has been awarded significant Skills Funding Agency contracts to deliver apprenticeship programmes - for 2010 / 2011 Learning World has been awarded a £8.5M contract.
- NVQs - Learning World delivers 150 different National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) L2 / 3 and 4 programmes to learners working within the construction, logistics, and health and social care sectors. During 2009 / 10, LW delivered qualifications to over 12,500 learners across England, maintaining 98% achievement rates.
- Commercial Training – Learning World has a dedicated team of multi-disciplinary trainers / assessors and subcontracted agents, trained and capable to deliver an extensive range of commercial training courses; a range that can be adaptively extended to fit customer needs.
- Bespoke Training – Learning World has a number of curriculum architects and domain experts, who design, configure and obtain accreditation for qualifications that meet specific customer requirements.
