Module 7 Safety Case Production & Evaluation

Module Overview

This unit addresses the knowledge required to identify, develop, justify, approve and implement Safety Cases for any organisation working within ionising radiation environments.

It reviews techniques for hazard analysis and risk assessment as tools in justifying new and changes to existing plant and equipment

Course Outcomes

• Understand the UK legislation relating to the Nuclear industry
• Understand the roles of the HSE Nuclear Installation Inspectorate and the other Regulators
• Understand the Site license and its conditions
• Know about Nuclear Security, Procedures and Regulation
