Arfon Dwyfor Training (ADT) Ltd, a national training provider headquartered in Caernarfon, has become the first Private Work Based Learning provider in Wales to achieve Quality Assured training provider staTus from the National Skills Academy Nuclear. The Skills Academy was established at the request of employers to address the key skills and training challenges facing the Nuclear industry, ensuring the sector has the skilled workforce necessary to operate safely and effectively and to meet the future demands of a rapidly changing industry.John Roberts, MD of ADT commented that “ we are delighted at ADT to have been granted membership to the Nuclear Skills Academy. It has taken over 18 months of hard work to gain membership. It has involved visits and inspections by senior members of the Academy and was sanctioned by a team representing the large national employers from the sector. Gaining membership has been the result of the hard work of the team at ADT and confirms the quality of our training provision.”
By gaining membership of the Skills Academy, ADT are able to confidently deliver high quality training to the nuclear industry throughout the UK.
Alun Ffred Jones, Assembly Member for Arfon and Minister for Heritage commented that “it’s great to see a company that employs over 50 people locally in Arfon moving forward to achieve membership to such a prestigious Academy. The nuclear industry is a very important employer to us locally here in North Wales with Trawsfynydd and Wylfa. ADT will be able to train local people to develop and achieve success working in the industry.”
