Bury College Accredited
Bury College has become the first Further Education College in Greater Manchester to be accredited by The National Skills Academy for Nuclear as a Quality Assured Provider.
The expansion of nuclear power to help meet rising energy demands is an essential part of the UK's economy. As a Quality Assured Provider, Bury College will be able to offer a wide range of courses to support companies in the nuclear supply chain. The Award for Nuclear Industry Awareness and the Triple Bar for Existing Sites, which have been developed by the Skills Academy, will be available from Bury College next year.
With a track record of delivering outstanding provision for the workforce through its employer responsive arm, Bury College Business Solutions; the College is committed to ensuring that it provides employers and employees with the skills that they require in order to remain competitive. It is an inspected Grade One College, has achieved the national Training Quality Standard and recently received The Bolton News and Bury Times Business Award for Customer Excellence. By working in partnership with the Nuclear Academy Bury College will use its expertise and reputation to engage with employers within the nuclear sector.
