The end of course assessments comprise of between 20 to 25 multi choice questions.  You will have a maximum time allowance of 40 minutes to complete each of the end of course assessments, however this will provide you with ample time in which to answer all questions.  From the e-Learning pilot carried out the average time taken by learners for each assessment was 21 minutes.

The certificates of achievement you receive for successfully completing the BCIS, BNIC and BNIB is your evidence to provide to your Employer to record and validate your training record on the Nuclear Skills Passport.

To achieve the certification you will need to complete the training course, take the end of course assessments.  When you achieve the pass mark of 80% you will receive a Skills Academy certificate of achievement for each of there ITS (BCIS, BNIC and BNIB).

For the e-Learning version you will have up to 3 attempts to achieve the pass mark. On successfully completing each of the Triple bar training end of course assessments, you will receive ‘e-Certificates’ for you to save and print off and give a copy to your Employer.  If you fail to achieve the pass mark after 3 attempts you can either re-purchase the e-Learning and try again, or alternatively consider taking the Triple Bar as classroom tutor led training via one of the licensed Skills Academy QA Providers.

We estimate that it will be possible to complete the training and assessment within the equivalent of ‘1 days training’.

For e-Learning the typical times are:

  • BCIS – 30 minutes training + 25 minutes assessment
  • BNIC - 90 minutes training + 25 minutes assessment
  • BNIB - 90 minutes training + 25 minutes assessment

For classroom tutor led.  The actual delivery time will be specified by the individual Quality Assured Training Providers.

The training and assessment can either be classroom tutor led via one of the Skills Academy Quality Assured Providers who are licensed to use and deliver the training or if you prefer the training can be carried out online by purchasing the e- Learning version directly from the Skills Academy website page http://www.nuclear.nsacademy.co.uk/providers/quality-assured-providers
